May has been hectic in the Tan family with visitors, projects, work, celebrations, awards and more! Jonty's parents came to stay and it was so lovely to spend time with them. They took a few days out to enjoy Langkawi too, which made us all want a holiday all the more - it's coming soon! We took time to celebrate the life of Jonty's Grandpa, who passed a year ago this month.
Jonty's work has been particularly heavy this month and so he has featured less on the channel, taking time at the weekends to look after himself - something we value heaps! With Milo and Aspen's birthdays coming up in June and July, we took advantage of their school friends still being in the country by having an early birthday party for them. It was super chaotic as they bounced around a trampoline park and had an amazing time making memories with their friends. Aspen also had an orchestra concert, playing her 'cello proudly and we too were incredibly proud of her performance.
We collected our first ever award for our videos this month too! At the Ridenjoy Cycling Video Awards, we took home Best Long-Form Video for our cycling holiday around Singapore! Finally, Jonty manage to eke out a morning for one of his passion projects - interviewing inspiring Singaporeans. He managed to meet Jeremy Tong, a Singaporean who has summited Mount Everest and is well on his way to achieving the Seven Summits - conquering the tallest mountain in each of the seven continents.
